2-Minute Guide to a Mighty Brain
Guide to a Mighty Brain
By Jim Barber, CDP, CMDCP
Here are nine things to help you along,
Important items to keep your brain strong.
Move to improve…a brisk walk will do,
Dance, stretch, or cycle—it’s all good for you.
Feed your brain smartly…nuts, berries, and greens,
Fish and whole grains are the best cuisine.
Stretch your mental muscle…just keep your gears running,
Your mind will stay nimble with lifelong learning.
Eight hours of slumber…peaceful and deep,
Will help you feel strong and sharpen your leap.
Socialize often…don’t live in a bubble,
Good friends and good chats keep away trouble.
Laughter and love…make your neurons ignite,
So share joy with others, both morning and night.
Meditate daily…find calm in your mind,
Just breathe and relax—leave the rush behind.
Count all your blessings…the big and the small,
And you’ll find that your heart feels the fullest of all.
Try new things often…it adds strength to your core,
And opens new doors to discover…so much more.
